Amit Pachori is happy to have bagged the key role of Indraneel in Rajan Shahi’s show on Star Plus, Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si. He plays the other man who was responsible for the breakup of Kunal Malhotra (Mohit Malik) with his wife Soniya (Leena Jumani). Indraneel who is also a successful business tycoon like Kunal, is the arch-rival in business of Kunal.

Says Amit, “Indraneel returns to India with both a professional and personal agenda against Kunal. This character has grey shades but is not a villain. Whatever his rivalry with Kunal, there is a big reason behind it. This character does not do anything just to appear negative but his every move, every expression and every action has a valid reason behind it. It is a strong self-made character and that is what pulled me towards it.”

The actor had been following the show, even before he got the offer to be a part of it. “Being in this industry you should be aware of all that is happening around you. The story of Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si very minutely captures the essence of hearing the unspoken. It very nicely weaves relations with every emotion keeping the importance of family in the core,” adds the actor, whose last daily shows were Anupamaa on Star Plus and Dhruv Tara on Sony SAB. He has also worked on a few web series that are currently under production.

Ask him about the pressure of entering a show midway and he says, “It’s quite natural to feel the pressure when you are entering a successful show. It is very important to live up to the expectations that the show has created in the minds of the audience. But I don’t take such pressures in life. When I take up a role, I want to give it my all. I do shows which attract me to go on the sets and keep doing it. I am not a fortune-teller, so I can’t predict a character/show’s success or failure. I am just going to keep working hard and give my best shot and leave the rest to the audience about how they want to accept me in the show,” he says.

Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si is a beautiful blend of drama and romance. “While both drama and romance can be compelling in their own ways, they offer different experiences in life. Drama can be thought-provoking and intense, challenging us to think about difficult issues and empathize with complex situations. Romance, on the other hand, can be uplifting and heart-warming, providing a sense of hope and happiness. In life if you want to sail smoothly, it has to be a perfect balance of these two elements as you are always surrounded by different kinds of people and situations,” he says, summing up the essence of the show.

Best of luck, Amit!!
