Colors TV’s latest offering ‘Sherdil Shergill’ has managed to keep the audience entertained with its storytelling and captivating visuals in the first week of the launch. The show brings you the story of Manmeet and Rajkumar, who are poles apart but find themselves tied together by fate. Even though their ideologies differ, they are both unequivocally set on fulfilling their dreams.

Popular television beauty Surbhi Chandna, who is known for his amazing acting chops in projects like Ishqbaaaz and Naagin 5, is seen playing the lead role of Manmeet Shergill in the above-mentioned daily which is produced by Parin Multimedia.

Talking about the show and her character, she said, “It is very important for me to sign shows which are inspiring. My characters are not bossy but inspiring. I really look for a relatability factor in any character and want audiences to connect with it. This is my conscious decision when choosing any role in my career. I am thrilled to be a part of Sherdil Shergil, an unconventional story that has the power to trigger some important conversations in society. In many ways, I am a Sherdil, equally ambitious as Manmeet, self-made and determined, making this show extremely special. I am certain that Manmeet’s go-getter attitude and self-confidence will truly resonate with the viewers. I hope that viewers continue to shower us with the same love and support.”

When asked about her off-screen bond with Dheeraj, she mentioned, “On the first day of the shoot, Dheeraj came to me and mentioned that he wanted to speak to me. I respect him for the kind of experience he comes with. He is my senior. He had said that if I develop any misunderstanding, then I should first go to him and clear it out. So if we get into any fight in the future, we will clear misunderstandings and solve them. Hence, the cat fights that happen on-screen are only on-screen and nothing off the screen.”

Finally, Surbhi revealed how difficult it is to shoot with a kid. She added, “It is difficult because we have to shoot according to his schedule also. He is just one year old. I ask her mother and try to bond with him. These things are important to get into the skin of the character. As all know, neither I am married nor I am a mother in real-life, so that motherly feeling is not there in me.”
