Dangal TV show Tose Naina Milaike 2 actor Naina Gupta sees this year as a beautiful reset when it comes to health. With experience, she has realised that her body performs well when she treats it with kindness.
She talks at length about the kind of health discipline she has brought into her regimen. She says, “Mental health is the foundation of everything. I have realised that a calm mind gives glowing skin and better performances at work. Sleep and recovery are non-negotiable.”
Talking about her food habits, she says, “I nourish myself, and don’t deprive my body. I ditched extreme diets. Instead, I focus on Indian home-cooked meals with lots of protein (dal, paneer, tofu), seasonal veggies, and good fats. I also learned that hydration + electrolytes matter way more than I thought, especially in Mumbai’s heat and AC sets.”
“I think the biggest health risk is the combination of chronic stress, poor sleep, sedentary behaviour, and ultra-processed/junk food consumption. This cluster quietly drives metabolic dysfunction (insulin resistance, obesity, high blood sugar, inflammation), which then fuels the real killers: cardiovascular diseases (heart attacks, strokes, hypertension) and type 2 diabetes,” she goes on to say.
She prioritises her routine with discipline. “Discipline is the bridge between knowing what influences health and actually experiencing better outcomes. It’s not rigid punishment or perfection. It’s a consistent, compassionate system that makes the right choices easier over time, especially in chaotic modern life. My discipline is rooted in evidence-aligned habits that target the biggest leverage points- protecting sleep, managing stress, moving daily, eating real food most of the time, and building supportive environments.”
