Megha Ray, who plays the female lead in Sun Neo‘s supernatural fantasy thriller, Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, produced by Peninsula Pictures, is excited for Diwali and wants to celebrate the festival in the best of spirits, in her colourful and happy self.
On keeping the spirit of Diwali alive, even if away from home, Megha Ray says, “Even when I am away from home, I try to recreate the warmth of Diwali in small ways like lighting diyas, dressing up in something traditional, and sharing sweets with whoever I am working with. I think the spirit of Diwali is more about togetherness and light, so even a simple gesture, like checking in on loved ones or bringing smiles on set, keeps that spirit alive.”
On the triumph of good over evil, Megha correlates it to our daily life and says, “I feel people are becoming more aware — choosing empathy, mental health, and truth over appearances. That’s a big victory of good over evil in today’s times.”
Ask her about the dark thought or negative trait that she wants to leave behind, this Diwali, and she says, “I would like to let go of the fear of not having enough, something that sneaks in quietly for most of us. I am learning to replace it with the thought that as long as I am being true and giving my best, that’s enough light to move forward.”
On honouring the spirit of Diwali every day, the actress tell us with confidence, “By being more mindful in our daily choices — being kind when it’s easier to be indifferent, honest when it’s tempting to pretend, we can make a difference and spread the spirit of the festival always.”
On her plans for the festival this year, Megha quips, “This year, I will most likely be shooting, so it’s a working Diwali for me. But I will still make it special, maybe light a few diyas on set, share sweets, and spend the evening with my family after pack up.”
Before signing off, Megha does give us a hint on her favourite delicacies. “Mom makes amazing gulab jamuns and I can’t stop myself from finishing all of them.”
Wishing all our readers a Happy Diwali!!
