Sony SAB is all set to recreate the magic via India’s most loved show, ‘Wagle ki Duniya’. The show takes the classic and mass’s favourite Mr. Wagle and introduces a new era of Wagle Ki Duniya featuring Sumeet Raghavan in the lead.
The talented thespian is known for his work in shows like Badi Doooor Se Aaye Hai, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, is elated to be a part of the iconic show. He says, “J.D. Majethia and Aatish Kapadia offered me two shows, however, they also told me let us rethink about the same and then will get back to you. Later, after a week, they again came to me and asked me what about re-creating Wagle Ki Duniya and I immediately said yes, we should do it. It has been great fun working with the entire team. To be able to reprise a beloved character is a huge task, but I am extremely eager and excited.”
Talking about his favourite episode from the previous season, Sumeet shares, “I have watched and loved the show when it aired originally. One of its most memorable episodes was Wagle goes out to buy fabric for curtains during Diwali, but ends up buying 10 times the amount of fabric required. Thus the family doesn’t only have curtains but also sofa covers, shirts and a saree of the same shiny fabric. This particular episode is my favourite. Now, this season will be dealing with relevant day-to-day issues that a common man faces in today’s time.”
