Halloween Day is here!! Today, on 31 October, Halloween Day is celebrated, on the evening before All Saints’ Day (All Hallows’). The celebration marks the day before the Western Christian feast of All Saints and initiates the season of All Hallow Tide, which lasts for three days and concludes with All Souls’ Day. In today’s time, this Western special Day is celebrated in India as a time and moment when people dress up and visit other homes for a treat, with parties thrown with an eerie and spooky ambience too. Young actor Neel Samarthh, who was last seen in Sapnon Ki Chhalaang on Sony TV, is not particularly enthusiastic about Halloween. However, he does not mind fun celebrations to mark the day.

Says Neel, “I have never really been into dressing up in costumes or getting into the spooky spirit as that doesn’t align with my personal preferences. I enjoy holidays and gatherings that promote a sense of joy, togetherness, and creativity without the need for fear or spookiness. Halloween can sometimes feel a bit too intense and dark for my taste as I am not a fan of haunted houses, horror movies, or the idea of intentionally trying to scare or be scared.”

“That being said, I do recognize that Halloween holds a special place in the hearts of countless individuals. It’s a holiday that fosters creativity and community spirit, allowing people to come together, showcase their artistic talents through costumes and decorations, and share in the thrill of a shared experience. I can certainly appreciate the effort and enthusiasm that goes into making Halloween enjoyable for those who love it,” he adds.

Neel talks about the traditions and rituals followed over Halloween Day and says, “I respect the tradition and the happiness it brings to many people’s lives. It’s a time when individuals of all ages come together to celebrate in their own unique ways. People enjoy the creative aspect of designing costumes, decorating their homes, and even carving pumpkins. There’s a sense of community as neighbours get to know each other while trick-or-treating or attending local events.”

Happy Halloween’s Day, folks!! Enjoy the spookiness that comes along with the moment!!
