Zaan Khan, who is best known for his work in television shows like Jhalli Anjali Ke Tootey Dil Ki Amazing Story, Naamkarann, Ishqbaaz, will be back on screen with Zee TV’s upcoming fiction show ‘Hamari Bahu Silk’.
Talking about his character, Zaan says, “I essay the character of Naksh Parikh who is extremely passionate about photography. While his family has a catering business, they strongly object to his interest and want him to pursue their business. The character is challenging to the essay as Naksh is always torn between his passion and pressure from his family. I am very excited about this endeavour and hope that the audience enjoys seeing me in this avatar.”
He continues, “Hamari Bahu Silk is an intriguing story which will leave the audiences with some food for thought on a pertinent issue, without being preachy or too serious. There are supernatural drama, daily soaps and hence we bring something new to the table. The show is very different. You will be able to relate to the storyline. There are a lot of layers in the show which will open up as the show progresses.”
Ask about the competition on the time slot and TRP race, he says, “There are a lot of shows which are doing good and I hope they continue doing good. But I wish that our show does better than the other shows on the same time slot.”
On an end note, he shares, “Everyone has struggled in their lives. I have also faced it but Mumbai has been very kind to me.”
