Heena Parmar, who plays the role of Shaoli in Colors TV’s supernatural drama Noyontara, has featured in TV shows Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Anjaan: Special Crimes Unit and Pandya Store. However, she is even today known for her role of Anarkali in the Zee TV show, Jodha Akbar.
The actress loves historical shows and will take them up if she gets an opportunity. Talking about the constant love she has been getting for Jodha Akbar, even today, Heena says, “Viewers have left us with no option at all to move on from Jodha Akbar, the reason being that we are loved and adored for our characters in the show even today. We are loved much more today than 12 years ago, when the show was on air. I am grateful that viewers love my work in Jodha Akbar even today.”
She has one regret related to Jodha Akbar, which she states, without mincing words. “Personally, if you ask me, I have always had an incomplete feeling as the show was shut down even before the proper story of Salim and Anarkali could take shape. Their love story was not shown when the show ended. The journey of Anarkali was not completed in the show. That will be a regret that will stay with me. So personally, I will want to complete the journey and play Anarkali again.”
Ask her about the reality shows she would like to take up in future, and she says, “I have not thought about reality shows. But I like projects which are poised to have creativity. Work that makes me feel happy is the one I will pick up. Having said this, I am a soft-hearted person, so not all reality shows are my cup of tea.”
