Actress Kajol Tyagi, who has entertained masses in projects like Class Of 2017 and Puncch Beat, is currently seen as the negative lead Payal in the Colors show Fanaa – Ishq Mein Marjawan. Kajol, who was selected for the show within a few hours, revealed about her selection process.
She shared, “I had not given any audition for this role. I just got a call from a friend who is in the casting department. He mentioned that this role is apt for me. He called me at 1 pm, and around 2 pm I got selected. At 3 pm the crew called me on set. So within 5 hours, everything happened. On the same day around 9 pm, I shot for the show. The first day of the shoot was very overwhelming. The second day onwards people warmed up with me and vice versa.”
Further revealing more about the character, she added, “My character Payal in this show is not grey but an all and all negative. She is a very bad person. I could not relate to the role as I am not like her. However, that was a challenge for me as an actor. This time I am trying to explore this role. Hence, I am excited to play a bad girl on-screen.”
When asked about the difference between working on a TV show and a web series, she mentioned, “I believe TV prepares you for the worst. This is with regards to the working hours as they are longer. Also, you have pressure to deliver the episode quickly. In a web show, you have time to prepare yourself during workshops. Whereas TV is a long-term commitment. Having said that, I am enjoying being part of it as Fanaa is a great show.”
