Sacchin Shrof, the newest entrant in the stellar cast of Star Plus’ popular show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, has had a good run on the web platform and returns to TV after a hiatus with this role.

After gaining fabulous experiences being part of big projects like Aashram (MX Player) and Dasvi (Netflix), Sacchin looks at bagging challenging roles that keep the performer in him active.

In a candid chat with IWMBuzz.com, Sacchin talks about this new role and show and on his OTT journey.

Excerpts:

You are back on TV after a good OTT and film journey. How does it feel?

I am doing television after four years. It feels good. I never left TV. I was offered Aashram and was involved in the back-to-back shoot of its two seasons. Later, Covid happened. After that Dasvi came my way. But I had never left TV and I am happy to be back.

We have seen a myriad of emotions coming from Rajeev. How would you describe the guy?

Rajeev is a very emotional character. He realized his mistakes and got back to win his love Shivani. He is a sweet loving guy, very energetic, who tries to make everybody happy.

Any similarities that you have with Rajeev?

Yes, I am a very positive person in life like Rajeev. I feel that there is hope even after the night.

How is it working with the cast of Ghum Hai?

The cast of the show has been very welcoming to me. They make sure that I have lunch with them. Everyone brings some dish from their houses; we taste the different cuisines sitting together. It is fun.

You have had a great time sharing screen space with actors like Bobby Deol (Aashram) and Abhishek Bachchan (Dasvi). How do you cherish these opportunities?

Working with Bobby Deol and Abhishek Bachchan was a great experience. Bobby is more like a family to me; we worked together for a very long time. Abhishek is a very cool guy, super-talented. I enjoyed working with him too.

What kind of roles attract you?

Any role which gives you a few butterflies in the tummy is always challenging (laughs). You do it with so much conviction and ease that you do not feel that you are acting. So the roles that attract me will be the challenging ones, which I make seem easy with my hard work.

Will there be a twist to the Rajeev Shivani love story?

I can’t really say much. They are married now. Let us see how it moves ahead.

What are the other projects you have in the pipeline?

As of now, the projects in the pipeline got a bit delayed. When I got this wonderful opportunity with Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, I took it up. Once the other projects fall in place, I will let you guys know for sure.
