Actress Jyothsna Channdola Singh, who was last seen in Kumkum Bhagya, has recently entered the Dangal TV show Kahani Pehle Pyaar Ki, produced by Masterstroke Productions. The show has Vishal Solanki and Vrinda Dahal playing the leads. The story explores the complexities of Sanju and Neha’s evolving relationship as Neha comes to terms with the importance of pursuing her goals and building a successful future, even while dealing with the intensity of her first love.
Jyothsna entered the show in the role of Mayura, the parallel lead.
Talking about her role, Jyothsna says, “Mayura and Sanju are childhood friends. She has always been in love with him. Now, she has gotten back to his life, and wants to get him for herself. Her thought is very clear – that her first love should love only her in return, and that her love story should be successful.”
Expressing her happiness at getting back to work, she says, “I was shooting for Kumkum Bhagya at the start of this year. The show wrapped up in February. Now, before the year ends, I am back to work. I got this offer during the festive Diwali period, and I take it as a blessing.”
However, given the tough phase that television is in, where many shows don’t last long, Jyothsna says, “I never have any expectations when I start a new project. I simply go with the flow and see how things pan out. I believe in quality work more than quantity. I have a mindset wherein if things work well for me, I am happy. But when things don’t work in my favour, I take it as Nature’s way of protection. This thought process helps me to perform to the best of my abilities.”
