Actor-dancer Faisal Khan, who began his career by winning Dance India Dance (kids), back in 2013, is a well-known name in the TV industry. The actor explored the acting space via shows like Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap and Chandragupta Maurya.
Faisal also participated in reality shows like Nach Baliye, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2016. Now, the actor is back on the screens with Sony SAB’s larger-than-life show Dharm Yoddha Garud.
Talking about his comeback on TV, Faisal said, “I have explored historical shows so far on TV. This is my first mytho show. I love doing these genres instead of the social, family drama. I learn so much from such shows. I get to enter a different era and play a timeless character. When I signed for the project, I had a thought that I look like a Garud? We don’t have a particular reference for a Garud. So we kept a tan look. I also worked on my physique and now I feel like a Garud.”
He further added, “The fans have loved the promos and are excited about the show. This kind of love that we are receiving from the fans has made us more confident about our product. There are positive vibes. I hope they continue showering their love on the show. This is a story no one has heard before and I can promise the audience won’t be disappointed when Garud comes alive on screen.”
When asked about his look in the show, he mentioned: “It takes me around an hour to get ready. At least five people take care of my wings and heavy jewellery. My ornaments weigh 7 kgs while my wings are 14 kgs. There are a lot of challenges but I am loving them. I am giving my best.”
