Rajashree Thakur, the talented actress, who is best known for her roles Saloni in Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar and Preeti Jindal in Shaadi Mubarak, is back on-screen in a new avatar. The actress is currently seen as Pallavi in Sony Entertainment Television’s latest offering Appnapan… Badalte Rishton Ka Bandhan.

It brings forth the story of an estranged couple Pallavi and Nikhil who are also single parents and separated due to their differences. Both are parents of five children. While Harsh and Manna stay with their father in New York, Barkha, Gagan, and Badal lead a quaint life in Meerut with their mother, Pallavi. However, fate brings them back together, on the same road once again but this time for the sake of their family.

Talking about the show, Rajashree said, “With Appnapan, there is a conscious effort being made to put across the message of trying to make things work for the sake of Appnapan. And, through this show viewers will get to see how this estranged couple, Pallavi and Nikhil who are single parents and separated due to their differences will give their relationship a second chance but this time for the sake of their kids. The story of the show attracted me the most. The kids, the parents, and all of them have their own stories to tell in this combination. People will love watching this because it is not a typical story.”

Elaborating more about her character, she mentioned, “Pallavi’s character is very strong. Though it is a mother’s role, she has her own characteristics which are very different from other mother roles. She is not only a mother but also an independent woman and has her own individuality as in she thinks very differently. She is the mother of three kids and is a very strong-willed person. She can go to any extent for her kids. She can be tough on her kids but at the same time loves them dearly just like any other mother would do. But, that’s what a mother’s love is and that is something that makes it so relatable. One quality of Pallavi that I like is her never-give-up attitude.

On an end note, Rajashree revealed the one thing that her parents taught her and she still implements. “Karmanye vadhikaraste, ma phaleshou kada chana which means karm karo, fal ki chinta mat karo. This is what my parents have taught me.”
