Television’s handsome hunk Dhruv Bhandari broke a million hearts after he tied the knot in Mauritius on June 20 with his long time girlfriend Shruti Merchant.
His wedding was a close knit affair as he wanted it to be a personal moment.
In an exclusive chat with Indianwikimedia, Dhruv revealed his love story and more…
“We met in 2012, around Sept-Oct as we started working on a musical play at Taj Express. Later we went for various tours. In 2013, we started dating. I went down on my knees and proposed her in Turkey,” shared the actor.
Talking about his romantic proposal for his lady love, he said, “I booked a restaurant. I did all the arrangements from Mumbai. Fortunately, the owner of the place was my fan so he booked the entire restaurant for me. He was a young champ. Shruti was shocked after learning that the entire restaurant was booked for us. It was a wonderful day. We later ended partying with the owner as he had also recently got engaged.”
When asked Dhruv why he kept his marriage a low key affair, he quipped, “We always wanted it to be a private moment as we both love our personal space. And we also wanted it to be a destination wedding. We searched a perfect destination for our wedding all over the globe. Her brother suggested us this beautiful place Mauritius. When we visited this place we fell in love with it.”
Dhruv believes that post marriage he has become more responsible. He is also a hardcore romantic person in real life. “Shruti calls me filmy as I am a very romantic person. I am happier after my wedding and Shruti being my life partner is like icing on the cake. I love her smile and the twinkle in her eyes and it flattered me.”
Dhruv missed his father Mohan Bhandari on his D-Day but said, “It went smoothly. In simple words, my wedding was blissful.”
Finally, on an end note, Dhruv said that soon he will make a comeback on TV.
