You have had a long wait before Lakshmi Niwas started. How does it feel to be a part of the show now?

It feels super amazing. It is such a lovely show. We have been on the show since September 2025. We have been preparing for our roles for six months now. Seeing the show on air is refreshing. We have lovely co-actors, with Rajendraji and Manasiji heading it. The story is very interesting. I am happy to be back with Rashmi Sharma Telefilms. I did Sasural Simar Ka with them earlier. There is a professional approach to everything.

I have done a lot of glam roles earlier. It feels good to play the simple, yet elegant Revati now.

You have moved away from your last few negative shaded roles to play Revati. Tell us about it.

Yes, after Ishqbaaaz, I have been offered a lot of negative roles. I did Divya Drishti, and that started the negative spree for me. Last year, after Main Hoon Saath Tere, I was craving and praying for a positive role. I missed playing them. The channel saw the positivity in my face. Actually, I had come to audition for a negative role. I am happy that destiny played a part in my bagging the role of Revati.

What do you like the best in Revati? Do you bear any significance to her in real life?

Revati is quite similar to me. I am a positive person. I am practical and do not harbour negative feelings. Revati is also like that. She wants to please her family. She wants to take care of everyone around her and be good to all. I also love to take care of my family. I love to take charge of the kitchen like Revati.

The show has a huge ensemble cast. Tell us about your rapport with co-actors?

Yes, it is a very big cast, with a lot of other families other than our family. I have a rapport with all. We have a girls’ gang on the set. Suman, Akshita, Manasiji and others sit together. We girls jam more than the boys, I can say.

I want every mother-in-law watching Lakshmi Niwas to desire a bahu like Revati: Mansi Srivastava 986626

Revati’s look is simple yet extremely graceful and elegant. How do you like it?

I love Revati’s look. I don’t remember doing such a role with a simple look. They don’t want me to put my hair too in front to flaunt Revati’s style. The feedback is positive. People love her elegance in her simplicity. I like her grace. And for the actor in me, I have done a lot of glam roles earlier. So it feels good to play Revati.

What is your personal opinion on this concept, which has launched amid huge expectations?

The concept is unique. The story is made quite relatable, and nothing about it sounds unreal. I want the show to be liked by all people. We have got a good opening. I am personally looking forward to all the love for Revati. She is a loveable character. I want every mother-in-law watching it to desire a bahu like Revati (smiles).
