Popular television actor Kanwar Dhillon, who is currently seen in Star Plus’ popular show Udne Ki Aasha, produced by Rahul Tewary and Rolling Tales Production, recently opened up about his love for travel and the destinations on his bucket list. While his packed shooting schedule has kept him busy, Kanwar admits that the travel enthusiast in him is always eager to explore new places.

“I really want to go to Switzerland because I have heard it is absolutely beautiful. From what I have seen in movies, I have always been fascinated by it,” he says. “I also want to visit New Zealand because many of my friends who have been there speak very highly of how stunning it is. Even my niece and cousins in Australia love visiting New Zealand despite living so close — that says a lot about how beautiful it must be.”

The actor shares that his travel essentials are simple yet non-negotiable. “My wallet, my phone with a charger, and my lip balm — these three things are a must for me, and I always double-check before leaving the house,” he laughs.

Though Kanwar hasn’t yet gone on a solo trip, it’s something he is quite open to. “All my friends who have done solo trips tell me it helps you discover a new side of yourself. So, never say never — maybe one day I’ll do it too,” he smiles.

For him, travelling isn’t just a leisure activity but also a privilege. “I know a lot of people who travel simply because they love it, but I also feel that being able to travel often is a kind of luxury. It takes effort, time, and resources to maintain that lifestyle,” he explains.

Recalling his last getaway, Kanwar says, “I honestly don’t remember the last time I took a proper holiday. The most recent one was probably a short two-day bike trip to Panchgani with my school friends.”

Talking about his past travels, he adds, “I have been to Mauritius and Singapore, and I really enjoyed exploring Singapore — it’s such a vibrant and lively city.” Within India, Kanwar prefers exploring the northern regions more than the usual beach destinations. “Everyone goes to Goa, but I like heading up north and discovering that stretch better,” he shares.

For the actor, travel is much more than a break — it’s a way to reset and recharge. “The significance of a good holiday in my life is huge. It helps me unwind and rejuvenate. Even going on long rides with my friends on my sports bike feels therapeutic,” he says. “But since I started working on Udne Ki Aasha, I haven’t had time for long rides or holidays. It’s been all about work — and I plan to keep it that way for now.”
