Zee TV’s popular fiction show, Meet, has made a special place for itself in the audience’s hearts since its premiere. The inspirational show presents the story of Meet Hooda (Ashi Singh), who mirrors several women across the nation, fighting societal norms of gender roles regarding work and responsibilities. Since its inception, Ashi Singh has been acing the role of Meet Hooda and while she has impressed one and all, the upcoming track is going to leave everyone surprised. In the forthcoming episodes, Ashi will be seen taking up the role of a police officer in an attempt to uncover the truth behind her father’s death.
Playing the role of a police officer is not easy and to get into the skin of her character, Ashi decided to take inspiration from the first-ever woman IPS officer of India – Kiran Bedi. The former officer has influenced several women across the globe and looks like she left a considerable impression on Ashi Singh too.
As Ashi Singh mentioned, “Kiran Bedi has been an inspiration to a lot of women in our society, and I am one of them. In fact, as soon as I got to know that I would be playing a cop on the show, the first person that came to my mind was her. She is the first woman IPS officer in India, and I have looked up to her all my life. Hence, in an attempt to get into the skin of my new avatar, I read a lot about her, her stories, and observed all her nuances, how she reacted to every situation, amongst other things. I really hope I do justice to my part and people love me in the avatar of a police officer.”
While we are excited to see Ashi as a police officer, wait till you see how Hawa Singh (Manoj Kolhatkar) makes all the tasks extremely difficult for her. Will Meet Hooda win against Hawa Singh’s evil plan? Or will she give up on finding out the truth about her father?
