Mehul Kajaria who is popularly known as Harsh Mihir Virani of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is presently enjoying his new innings with the Balaji Telefilms family in Kumkum Bhagya, the popular and longest running numero-uno show.
In Kumkum Bhagya, Mehul plays the role of Vikram Kohli, Abhi’s close friend and business partner.
Says Mehul, “It is a great feeling to be working with Balaji Telefilms again. I still remember the days of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. It was an iconic show and so is Kumkum Bhagya.”
Mehul who has had interesting sequences with co-actor Shabir Ahluwalia states, “It is fun to be shooting with Shabir. In the show, we are shown as great friends and are associated at work too. We have had few long conversation sequences and important high points together.”
Mehul’s character in the show is one of the links between Abhi and Pragya (Sriti Jha), with Pragya misunderstanding him to be Abhi Mehra. “Yes, it is a great feeling working with such talented actors like Shabir and Sriti. I have had some interesting sequences with both of them, and also with the younger generation leads Rhea, Prachi and Ranbir who is my onscreen son.”
Mehul enjoys working with the Kumkum Bhagya team. “Though we have got into the show post the generation leap, we have been welcomed really well. In quick time we have gelled well with one and all.”
The actor shares a great camaraderie off the screen with Shabir Ahluwalia. “We bond really well. He is so grounded and a great co-actor to work with.”
Mehul looks forward to a great journey with Kumkum Bhagya. “This is just the beginning. This is just the beginning to the new generation story along with the Abhi-Pragya story. We look forward to enjoy the run being one big family.”
