Shruti Sharma the lead of Gathbandhan the Colors’ popular show is pretty happy and satisfied with the outcome of her debut work as actor on Hindi TV.
After participating in the reality show India’s Next Superstars, Shruti was looking for a challenging role on TV when she got the role of Dhanak in the above-said Jay Productions show.
Says Shruti, “It feels good to receive all the love from people. Gathbandhan has been a good start to my acting career. The role of Dhanak has given me a lot. Presently, the track in the show is crucially placed wherein Raghu and Dhanak wanted to see the brighter side of life post their wedding. But what has happened is totally opposite of what they desired for. Dhanak never expected that her life will change this way, wherein Raghu will start to hate her. Dhanak’s journey ahead will be very interesting and she has her task cut out in getting back the love of Raghu.”
“This is my first TV show. I am learning a lot from this experience. I am happy that I got chosen for Dhanak. People love Dhanak and it means a lot for me,” Shruti Sharma adds.
The main challenge for Shruti while getting into the skin of Dhanak was to, “erase the line between Shruti and Dhanak. Shruti is very hyper active, loud, bubbly but Dhanak will think twice before expressing herself. That is the only difference between them and I have been successful in taking in the qualities of Dhanak.”
Shruti’s onscreen chemistry with co-actor Abrar Qazi has been loved by one and all. “Our fans really like me and Abrar together. They have been craving for the track wherein we got together. They are now annoyed with this separation phase coming in. Our fans cry with us. They are certainly sad. But somewhere they have a belief that Raghu and Dhanak will reunite. I like their belief and it only motivates us more. We click pictures for them and try our best to make them happy.”
“Having said this, I also want to see Raghu and Dhanak getting reunited. Let us see what happens next. Dhanak is trying her best to make it happen.”
Working with Abrar is a pleasure for Shruti Sharma. “He is a very hard-working person, a humble guy by heart. It is very comfortable to work with him. We improvise on our scenes and support each other. To get a co-actor like him is a blessing. It is very important to have that chemistry and comfort level with co-actors. All in the cast is very co-operative. We gel well like a family.”
Shruti, we wish you all the luck!!
