In the latest emotional track of Zee TV’s popular show Tumm Se Tumm Tak, produced by Studio LSD, viewers are witnessing a deeply layered conflict between love and societal fear. The storyline follows Aryavardhan (Sharad Kelkar), who suffers a severe heart attack, leaving Anu—played by Niharika Chouksey—caught between her love for him and her mother Pushpa’s fears about a future filled with caregiving and uncertainty.

Speaking about the importance of portraying such narratives, Niharika shares, “I think it’s extremely important. As actors, we’re not just here to entertain—we also reflect society and sometimes even challenge it. When a story addresses something like health stigma in marriage, it opens up conversations people often shy away from. With the right awareness, care, and lifestyle changes, individuals can continue to live fulfilling and active lives—and audiences need to see that shown on screen. Being part of such narratives feels meaningful because it goes beyond drama and actually creates awareness.”

The ongoing track has struck an emotional chord with audiences, especially in how it portrays the fragility of health alongside the strength of relationships. Niharika believes such storytelling has the power to reshape perceptions. “Yes, I truly believe they can. Television connects emotionally with viewers in a very powerful way. When they see a character like Arya going through a heart condition, it makes the situation real and relatable. It also sends out a strong message that health challenges don’t define a person’s future or their ability to have a happy life.”

At the heart of the story is Anu’s emotional journey—torn between societal expectations and her unwavering belief in love. “Anu is very emotional but also incredibly strong. She isn’t someone who fears society or lets the age difference affect her decisions. Her conflict comes more from the situation itself and the people around her, rather than any doubt within. There are moments of confusion and emotional struggle, but she remains clear about her feelings and stands firm in her belief in love. For her, love is beyond everything—it doesn’t have boundaries, and it certainly shouldn’t be limited by fear or misconceptions,” she explains.

The show also reflects a generational shift in attitudes. “I do feel younger audiences are more open and aware today. They’re more accepting of conversations around health and individuality. They tend to question outdated beliefs and are more willing to look at relationships with empathy rather than fear. But at the same time, there’s still a long way to go, which is why stories like this are important—they reinforce that love is beyond everything and doesn’t have boundaries,” Niharika adds.

Summing up the message she hopes viewers take away, she says, “The biggest takeaway would be empathy and understanding. A person is so much more than their health condition. Love, respect, and companionship should never be based on fear or assumptions. This track really highlights that love is beyond everything—it doesn’t have boundaries. And with the right awareness, care, and lifestyle changes, individuals can continue to live fulfilling and active lives.”
