Do Duniya Ek Dil actor Pallavi Purohit shares that acting is less about imitation and more about emotional honesty. She speaks about preparation, conviction, and what it really takes to make a character feel believable on screen.

She says, “Preparation as an actor is always about understanding the mindset of the character and building conviction. It’s not necessary to have a personal connection with every role.”

“My focus is on honestly portraying the emotions and making the audience believe in the character’s journey. Whether it’s emotional silence, strength, or vulnerability, every layer has to feel authentic,” she adds.

Away from the set, she applies the same intentionality to her own life. Seven years of Bharatanatyam, a deliberate approach to travel and personal exploration, and a conscious effort to stay connected to real experience rather than digital noise all speak to someone who thinks carefully about how she moves through the world.

She avers, “I have always believed in staying connected to real experiences. Life itself has taught me that balance matters. Even while pursuing acting, I took time to travel, explore life, and continue learning Bharatanatyam, which I’ve now been practising for seven years. For me, balancing work, learning, and personal growth helps maintain perspective between the fast-paced outside world and inner peace.”

That groundedness also shapes how she sees the show she is currently part of and what she hopes it does for the people watching it. For Pallavi, Do Duniya Ek Dil is not just another project on a busy schedule; it is an opportunity to say something that matters.

She says, “Do Duniya Ek Dil is about navigating the conflict between changing realities and timeless emotions while reminding us that our best is always yet to come.”
