Sheizaan and I have worked hard to understand the depth of our characters’ connection. When you have that mutual respect and effort, the audience feels it.

Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan gives viewers a perfect rustic feel, making it distinctly appealing compared to the other shows currently running. What is your take on it?
This show brings audiences back to the essence of storytelling, emotions, relationships, and a connection to our roots. The rural backdrop and the narrative’s simplicity make it unique and relatable. There’s a beautiful honesty in how the story is told, and that’s what drew me to it. It reminds us of the strength, traditions, and love that bind families together.
How would you look at the growth that you have made with every character you have played till now?
Every character has contributed to my growth both as an actor and as an individual. I have played varied roles, and each one has helped me discover new shades of emotion and performance. I have learned to be patient, to listen, and to bring authenticity into my craft. The growth has been gradual but very meaningful.
Do you look up to an inspiration or idol to learn new facets as a performer?
I take inspiration from many people, senior actors, co-stars, and even real-life stories. Everyone brings something different to the table, and I love observing that. But more than anyone specific, my biggest inspiration is the idea of continuous learning. I believe the day you think you’ve learned enough is the day you stop growing.
The bond between the mother and sisters comes across so well on screen in Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan. Tell us about your offscreen bond with the actors.
Our offscreen bond is just as real as what viewers see onscreen. We spend a lot of time together rehearsing, sharing food, laughing between shots. That comfort and trust naturally reflect in our performances. We’ve truly become like a family, and that emotional connection makes our scenes more organic and heartfelt.
I prefer to take chances and evolve with each experience.
You and Sheizaan Khan have been a revelation as a pair since the show started. Tell us about the hard work that has gone into getting this recognition as a loved pair onscreen.
Sheizaan and I have worked hard to understand the depth of our characters’ connection. We discuss every scene, make sure our emotions are aligned, and most importantly, respect each other’s process. It’s not just about chemistry, it’s about teamwork. When you have that mutual respect and effort, the audience feels it. The appreciation we have received means a lot because it validates all that hard work.
You have managed to look for the ‘unusual’ when it comes to the roles you have played. Has it been a conscious decision to explore more as a performer?
Yes, it’s been a very conscious decision. I have always wanted to explore characters that are layered and meaningful. I feel there’s so much more to a woman’s journey than just being a supporting part of someone else’s story. I try to choose roles that challenge me emotionally and mentally. It keeps the process exciting and helps me grow creatively.
Do you not worry about the decision backfiring, as many experiments on TV have not done well?
Of course, there’s always a risk. But I believe that if something excites me as an actor, I should take that leap. Even if a project doesn’t work as expected, it teaches you something valuable. Playing safe might guarantee comfort, but it rarely guarantees growth. I would rather take chances and evolve with each experience.
What are your takeaways from Sneha till now?
Playing Sneha has been one of the most enriching experiences of my career. She’s strong yet gentle, traditional yet progressive, and she faces challenges with quiet confidence. Through her, I have learned that strength doesn’t always mean being loud; sometimes it’s in calmness, patience, and empathy. Sneha has taught me to look at life with more compassion and to stand my ground with grace. She’s a reminder that even silence can have immense power.
What do you have to tell your fans?
To all my lovely fans, thank you for showering me with so much love and support. Every message, every comment, every word of appreciation motivates me to do better. Please keep watching Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan and continue to be part of this beautiful journey. I promise to keep giving my best in everything I do.
