As the world celebrates World Chocolate Day, actress Prachi Singh, who plays Manjuri, lovingly known to viewers as Munni, in Star Plus‘ Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, opened up about her love for chocolate, her ideal chocolate ritual, and why she believes enjoying a sweet treat should never come with guilt.

Describing her current personality through chocolate, Prachi smiled, “Today I’d choose milk chocolate with roasted hazelnuts. Milk chocolate because I’d aim to be approachable, warm, and easy to talk to. The roasted hazelnuts add a little crunch, representing curiosity and a willingness to explore interesting ideas or solve challenging problems together.”

Speaking about the way people often associate chocolate with indulgence and guilt, the actress encouraged a healthier perspective. “There’s no need to earn a dessert or feel guilty for enjoying it. For most people, chocolate can be part of a balanced diet when eaten in moderation. The goal is to enjoy it because you like it, not to feel guilty afterwards,” she said.

When asked which chocolate brand she could happily stick with forever, Prachi did not hesitate. “Cadbury Dairy Milk would probably be my everyday pick because it’s simple, creamy, and a classic that many people enjoy. And I enjoy this,” she shared, adding that it remains her ultimate movie-watching chocolate snack.

The actress also imagined creating a heartfelt new tradition for World Chocolate Day, one that goes beyond simply enjoying sweets.

“My tradition would be called ‘The Chocolate Exchange.’ Everyone gives one small chocolate bar to a friend, family member, coworker, or even a neighbour. Along with it, they include a short handwritten note sharing one thing they appreciate about that person. In the evening, people enjoy one piece of their favourite chocolate mindfully, without rushing or feeling guilty, and take a moment to reflect on something good that happened that day. If possible, they also try one chocolate they’ve never had before, making the day about discovering something new. The idea isn’t just to celebrate chocolate, but to use it as a reason to spread a little kindness and create a pleasant memory. I think that would make World Chocolate Day feel a bit more meaningful than simply eating lots of chocolate,” Prachi explained.

Asked who she would share her favourite chocolate with, Prachi answered warmly, “I’d share my favourite chocolate with my family because they’re the people I enjoy life’s little moments with the most. Something as simple as sharing a chocolate while talking, laughing, or watching a movie together always feels special. For me, it’s less about the chocolate itself and more about the memories we create while enjoying it together.”
