Neil Bhatt is quite happy with his on-going negative lead role in Colors show, Roop Mard Ka Naya Swaroop. “This is my first tryst with this genre in ten years and I am quite enjoying it.”

Unlike other actors, he has no qualms about not playing the positive leads. “I am looking for meaty lead roles. Any show always has two leads, i.e. positive or negative. It is sad that we only give preference to positive leads.”

When asked about murmurs that this Rashmi Sharma presentation is under the scanner for low ratings, he says, “I have not heard any such stuff and we are doing quite well as far as I am concerned.”

“I also enjoy great bonding with all my co-stars. Shashank Vyas is a cool dude to hang out with; Donal Bisht and I share a very professional relationship. She is a very good co-star to work with. Apart from the main leads, I also enjoyed working with Yashji (Yash Tonk). And I know Mitaali Nag from before. In fact, some of us met last night for an impromptu Christmas dinner as well.”

Neil, who started his career with Boogie Woogie and Arslaan, regards Roop as one of his best works, apart from Gulal (Star Plus), “Which really helped me discover the actor within.”

Apart from films, he is also basking in the glory of his recently released Gujarati film, Bhanwar, by winning several awards. “This felicitation is important to me, for it recognizes my hard work and talent, encouraging me to try even harder.”

“I am open to more film projects, and luckily for me, my film-makers are ready to adjust their dates according to my busy TV calendar.”

In closing, we ask this handsome hunk about finding love for a second time, after the unfortunate turn of events with his ex-fiancé, Neha Sargam. “I will always continue to believe in love. Being a very positive person, I learn from past equations, which helps me to become a better person. All said and done, I have no bad feeling for anyone; just love.”
