Today, we reflect on the countless educators who have selflessly shared their wisdom, imparted invaluable lessons, and provided unwavering guidance throughout our lives. Their dedication and passion have shaped our minds and inspired our paths, leaving an indelible mark on our journeys. We have Priya Thakur, the lead of Zee TV’s Vasudha, taking a moment to share about the teachers who have inspired her.
She says, “For me, a teacher is not just someone in a classroom, but anyone who leaves a mark on your heart and mind. Teacher’s Day always takes me back to school, when I once performed a classical dance on stage with my friends. We were nervous, our steps weren’t perfect, but when I saw my dance teacher clapping with tears in her eyes, I realised that effort and sincerity matter more than perfection. That moment has stayed with me forever.”
“In my professional life too, my producer, Arvind Sir, has been a true teacher, guiding me, correcting me, and encouraging me always to give my best as Vasudha. It taught me that teachers don’t just look at your success; they celebrate your journey. Today, as an actor and as a person, I carry forward those lessons of discipline, humility and gratitude. On this Teacher’s Day, I just want to thank every teacher on screen and off screen who continues to guide us and make us better human beings.”
