Transitioning from household television screens to the big screen marks an exciting upcoming chapter for actor Twinkle Arora, who is gearing up for her role in the forthcoming film Junglywood. Embracing a medium that offers in-depth character creation and expansive storytelling, she opens up about this cinematic evolution, her grounded real-life persona, and celebrating the warmth of Diwali.

Reflecting on her transition to films and the experience of working on her upcoming project Junglywood, Twinkle shares how the film allowed her to explore a completely different side of her artistry. “Junglywood was a really nice experience for me. It was something different from what I have done on television, and I enjoyed exploring that side of myself as an actor. I got to learn a lot during the process, especially how important it is to understand your character and give it your own touch. I think every new project teaches you something, and this one definitely gave me a lot of beautiful memories and learning.”

Elaborating on how cinematic storytelling differs from the fast-paced nature of daily television, she adds, “Films give you a different experience. They give you a script. They give you time to work in depth to create the character and their backstory and perform it like the character before going on the floor.”

While television festive tracks and glamorous sets often feature over-the-top styling and heavy bling, Twinkle maintains that her personal style is vastly different. “I’m a very minimalist person. I dress up with simple accessories, simple—and that’s what I am.”

When it comes to celebrating Diwali in the real world, she loves the balance of festive tradition and personal comfort. “I am definitely someone who loves dressing up for Diwali. I enjoy wearing beautiful ethnic outfits, especially sarees and suits. But at the same time, comfort is important because there is so much to do during the celebrations. I might start the evening in a glamorous outfit, but by the end of it, I definitely want something comfortable.”

Sharing her thoughts on festive indulgence and her ideal way to spend the festival of lights, Twinkle notes that balance is key. “I do try to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but I am not someone who will completely avoid sweets during Diwali. I love enjoying festive food, especially sweets. I believe festivals are meant to be enjoyed, so I don’t feel guilty about having my favourite treats. I just make sure I get back to my routine afterwards.”

She paints a picture of her ideal celebration rooted in warmth and togetherness. “I personally prefer a peaceful and happy Diwali with lots of lights, diyas and spending quality time with my family. I love the festive atmosphere, decorating the house, dressing up and enjoying good food. I feel Diwali is all about positivity, happiness and being with your loved ones. I prefer celebrating with lights and diyas rather than loud fireworks. There’s something very beautiful about a home filled with lights and warmth.”

With Junglywood on the horizon as a major upcoming milestone in her career, Twinkle is eager to embrace new challenges and diverse storytelling formats. Looking forward to her cinematic journey, she expresses her enthusiasm for dynamic genres. “I would love to explore more films and work with some amazing directors and actors. There are so many different kinds of roles I want to try. I would love to do a romantic film, something intense or even a character that is completely different from my real personality. I don’t want to limit myself to one particular kind of role. I just want to keep growing and doing good work.”
