Akash Jagga, the young and talented actor, who is presently seen as the lead in Sun Neo‘s show Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani, produced by Natkhat Productions, is happy to be growing as a performer under the comforting medium of television. On the occasion of World Television Day, observed today on 21 November, Akash is grateful to the medium for giving him a continuous learning process.

Says Akash, “Television has been the foundation of my career in every sense. It gave me a face, a voice, and a connection with millions of people I’ve never even met but who still trust me, support me and welcome me into their homes every day. Whatever I have learned today – discipline, consistency, understanding emotions, carrying a story, all of it has come from television. It has shaped the actor I am today and the human I am growing into.”

“World TV Day is special because TV is where my journey truly began.
This medium has taught me patience, hard work and the beauty of storytelling. It’s a reminder of how powerful television is; it brings families together, creates conversations and allows artists like me to live multiple lives on screen. For me, it’s a day to be grateful for the opportunities, the audience and the craft.”

Talking about being authentic in the role given to him, Akash says, “For authenticity onscreen, I keep things simple. I try to live the moment, not act it. I observe people, I borrow from real emotions, and I constantly remind myself that the audience can feel the honesty of the actor. I listen more, react truthfully, and make sure I am never “performing” for the camera but genuinely experiencing what the character is going through.”

On being called a TV actor, Akash states, “What I enjoy most about being called a TV actor is the warmth. There’s a certain respect and familiarity people have for TV artists. It feels like you are part of their daily life, their dinner conversations, their routines, their comfort and honestly, that connection is precious. TV has given me a home in people’s hearts, and there’s nothing more rewarding than that.”

Happy World Television Day!!
