Television weddings are known for their heightened drama and emotions, and for Yesha Harsora, shooting Tapasya’s wedding in Zee TV‘s Jagadhatri was deeply personal.

Recalling the experience as she shot for the show, produced by Rahul Tewary Productions, she says, “When I started shooting the wedding sequences, I felt that, as a girl, it’s an emotional milestone for anyone. During the Haldi ceremony scene, all the women from my family, my Rekha Aai, Sampada, my sister Anjali, and my grandmother, were so emotionally involved that we didn’t need glycerin to cry. The entire scene felt very natural and genuine.”

She continues, “There was a Haldi ceremony sequence followed by the wedding sequence. There wasn’t much focus on the wedding itself because so much drama was happening. However, during the pheres and the vidai, it became quite emotional for all the actors, especially for the Naik family, because we had been shooting together for many months and realised we wouldn’t be working together anymore. We had developed a very family-like atmosphere, which made those moments especially sweet.”

Yesha also speaks highly about her on-screen pairing with Ayush Shrivastava, who plays Rudra. “He is a fantastic actor and portrays the character of Rudra incredibly well. It’s clear that the audience is loving him because the character is very different, and you don’t usually see such roles in daily soaps. He has pulled it off so well that it’s truly impressive.”

On their off-screen bond, she adds, “As a person, Ayush is very sweet and makes me feel comfortable while working with him. We share opinions and help each other during scenes. Even during my solo performances, he sometimes suggests, ‘Yesha, you could do it like this or that,’ and I always keep an open mind and welcome his input.”

She further shares, “We’ve also become very good friends off screen. He is genuinely a kind and good person, which allows us to work very well together on screen. The comfort we share as friends is visible to the audience. I think it’s important for actors to have this kind of bond because it helps them perform honestly, and that chemistry clearly reflects on screen.”

Teasing what lies ahead after the wedding, Yesha concludes, “There are many plot twists after the wedding because Jagadhatri also comes to the house after getting married, as shown in the promo. My mindset had always been that I was finally out of that poor household and had entered the Deshmukhs as the only daughter-in-law.”

She adds, “The twist is that Jagadhatri also moves in, which leads to several emotional dynamics between me, Jagadhatri and Maya. Additionally, Shivay finds out that Mahesh is his father, which reveals a completely different side of him. Gradually, viewers will also see the evolving equation between me and Rudra, which will be very interesting. This storyline is going to appeal to all kinds of audiences.”
