IWMBuzz.com reviews Sony TV’s show Ishk Par Zor Nahi

Sony TV is always known to offer its viewers a variety of quality content on the small screen. The channel recently launched a new show named ‘Ishk Par Zor Nahi’ produced by Four Lions Films Private Limited. The show is a new-age young love story of two opposite personalities, Ahaan and Ishqi, who couldn’t be more different and share polarising viewpoints about marriage.

About the show:

It is the story about the conflicting ideologies of Ahaan Malhotra (Param Singh) and Ishqi (Akshita Mudgal) on love and marriage. Ahaan Malhotra is a perfectionist and has a traditionalist outlook on life. He is a successful businessman and is fiercely protective of his siblings, especially his younger sister ‘Sonu’ and his cousin ‘Kartik’.  While the siblings often tease him that he belongs to the 17th century, he loves them dearly and shares a strong bond with them. Ahaan, given his emotional scars, is seeking a life partner who will take care of everything in the house and respect his family. On the other hand, Ishqi is the woman of today. She is free-spirited, listens to her heart, and doesn’t believe in conforming to the rules and norms of society. She believes that love and kindness have the power to make this world a better place. While for Ahaan a life partner would be the one to uphold his family values and be a homemaker, Ishqi values love above everything else in the world. The show also features actors Shagun Sharma as Sonu and Rajat Verma as Kartik Malhotra in lead roles.

Good points:

The pairing of Param and Akshita is new and brings a breath of fresh air. The chemistry between the new couple is also visible which might connect them with audiences. The show also gives family values which is a good factor for the daily.

Bad points:

Ishk Par Zor Nahi is yet another attempt to entertain the viewers with the ‘opposites attract’ story. The show and couple also remind us of Four Lions’s previous show Ishqbaaaz. The concept might be different but the Ahaan and Ishqi’s characters resemble Shivaay and Anika’s roles. The tashan between the two also looks similar.

Overall, it is a decent watch but has a tried and tested concept. IWMBuzz.com credits the show with 2.5 out of 5 stars.
