Good news for Adrija Roy fans: the Star Plus show Anupamaa actress is all set to embark on a new journey after finally finding her dream partner. As per TOI reports, the beloved diva is set to get engaged to her Mumbai-based boyfriend, Vignuesh Iyer, on January 25, 2026, just a day before Republic Day.
Adrija and Vignuesh’s engagement will be a private affair, with close friends and family in attendance, and the ceremony will reportedly take place at Vignuesh’s farmhouse. Also, for the engagement, the actress applied for a three-day leave at her production house. The diva has also invited her production house team, and she revealed that those who can make it will join her on her special day.
However, sharing about her meeting with Vignuesh, while talking to TOI, Adrija shared that she met him last year at a common friend’s party where they instantly liked each other’s personalities, and as Vignesh showed interest in her, they talked through social media, and slowly things worked; and they went for their first date in June last year.
Talking about what brought her and Vignuesh close, the Anupamaa star highlighted that their personalities brought them together, as they are both soft and down-to-earth. Adrija shared that she had always wished for someone outside the industry, and Vignuesh felt right for her, believing that God planned this for them both.
On her marriage plans, Adrija, in the same interview, shared that Vignuesh is South Indian (Tamil) and she is Bengali, so she wants to get married in both the rituals, and planning for this will take a long time, so marriage is not happening anytime soon, but within two years.
