All is not well on the sets of Colors drama Bahu Begum (LSD films). There is buzz that the channel might call time, given continuously low ratings.

This Arjit Taneja, Samiksha Jaiswal and Diana Khan show never picked up steam from day one. Also, things went off kilter when the original thesis of presenting the polygamy part in a mature way was quickly sent for a six.”

Arjit declined to have any info on the off air part. But when pressed on the low ratings, he quipped, “I don’t know. I’m doing my job as an actor and giving my best. Rest you should ask the producer and creatives who work on the story.”

Amrapali Gupta, who plays the negative lead Begum Suraiya Mirza, said, “You really can’t blame the creative for the huge story changes, for writers too are forced to toe the public opinion. Also, our low numbers can be attributed to the time slot and also to changing platform preferences. Nowadays, most prefer to watch content online rather than on TV. I too prefer watching my daily Colors shows on Voot.”

“Being a positive person, I don’t think that Bahu Begum is going anywhere soon. We too have been hearing what you say since a month. Luckily, nothing has happened on the ground so far.”

Diana, on her part, said ratings going up and down is no big issue.

Our attempts to reach the channel spokesperson and producer Prateek Sharma came to nought.
