CID, the cult show produced by B.P. Singh and Pradeep Uppoor (Fireworks Productions) has been going strong for 21 years, with viewers of all ages being ardent fans of the show!!
The loyal fan base of the show received a jolt recently when the airing of CID was stopped for few weeks in order to accommodate promotions of the newer shows airing on the channel.
However, CID did come back later, which made fans jubilant. But now, there has been a strong buzz of the show which has been running for 21 long years, going off air!!
But we at IWMBuzz.com have heard that the show is definitely not going off air, but will take a seasonal break!!
A credible source tells us, “The team of CID will go in for a break in shoot. The show will return in 2 or 3 months. However, the fact remains that the budget of CID has been drastically cut down, which will bring in new developments when the show would return. There is also a possibility of CID returning with a new form or format. Also, few of the popular lead actors who have been the face of CID might not return. Though there is nothing that has been finalized now on the details of its return, it is certain the the show will take a seasonal break and will return in 2 to 3 months.”
We buzzed Producer B.P. Singh, but did not get through to him.
We reached out to the channel spokesperson, but did not get revert till we filed the story.
