Will Zee TV show Hamari Bahu Silk wrap up? There is a possibility of the same as per sources, due to creative differences between the channel and the producers (Devyani Rale, Sudhanshu Tripathi and Jyoti Gupta).

“And the fact that this Zaan Khan and Chahat Pandey led show never set the ratings on fire could have not have helped matters”, added our source.

The story is about a film actress Natasha (Reeva Choudhary), who needs a feminine voice to dub for her as she has a male baritone, and main lead Pakhi (Chahat) refuses to play ball.

“Things have apparently taken a turn for the worse and there is buzz on the set that the end is well nigh”, quipped our khabru.

Asked as to what could have led to its low ratings, the source thinks that had the creative focused more on Natasha’s character, things could have perked up. The latter is not being seen much.

Our attempts to reach Devyani of Klay Pictures LLP came to nothing. We had also reached out to the channel spokesperson and are waiting for revert.

Lead actor Zaan claimed to have no knowledge about the above.

When asked about the low ratings, he said, “We have not gone below 0.8, which is no mean task, considering that we are competing against biggies like KBC and Bigg Boss. Our time spent is the highest for the 10.30 slot.”

“I will be surprised and shocked if the end does happen. But then again, these things are beyond my remit. We are all working very hard to give a first class product.”

Chahat too did not return our calls. Reeva Choudhary, who plays the glamorous Natasha, also was not available for comment.
