Rucha Hasabnis, who gained popularity by playing the role of Rashi in Saathiya seven years ago has now opened up that she doesn’t want to return back to tv to do a cameo or inconsequential roles.

She said, “After Saathiya, I wanted to spend time with my family. I got married in 2015. I have a baby girl, who is 22 months old. I want to return to showbiz now, but not for small roles or characters that are not significant to the show. I was offered many roles in the mythological genre but they didn’t interest me. If I come back to TV, it will have to be a very strong role, meaty enough to leave my baby and work for long hours.”

She added, on not watching the second season of Saathiya or Tere Mere Sath Rahe, “The makers cast me in a very strong role in Saathiya. Now, I can’t be doing a cameo or an inconsequential role in any of these shows, just because I was part of the first season. I don’t want to be part of the first few episodes and then vanish. If I am given a role in any show, it has to be something worthy of my time. I did watch one episode of Saathiya 2 for Devoleena Bhattacharjee, but then could not watch it further. Tera Mera Saath Rahe I am yet to watch. Devoleena and Vishal Singh have been great friends.”

She also said that she doesn’t watch tv these days, “Though I am a TV actress, I don’t get time to watch television shows. When you are a full-time mother, most of your time goes with the child and spending time with family.” as stated in ETimes.
