Tanuj Mahashabde is a television actor and is currently playing the role of south Indian scientist Krishnan Subramanyam Iyer in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Geeky scientist guy Krishnan Iyer is a South Indian in the serial. He has also worked in CID. He had played the role of junior artist supplier in a film industry in episode number 135 in the year 2003.

Mr. Iyer is a south Indian scientist. He is the husband of Babita who is a Bengali. While Krishnan Iyer’s complexion is dark, Babita is fair. Jethalal has an innocent crush on Babita. Jethalal often flirts with Babita Ji, but every time his efforts come to naught because of Iyer.

Tanuj is from Maharashtra. He is not a south Indian in real life. According to him, he learned to tie lungi and then went to Chennai to know more about south Indians before taking the roll in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
