The life story of Television hearthrob Shaheer Shaikh

Learn about Shaheer Sheikh’s journey from a charming college student to the dashing star of television. Born on March 26, 1988, in Bhaderwah, Jammu and Kashmir, Sheikh attended Hari Singh Higher Secondary School in Jammu before earning a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B.) degree. In addition, he is the owner of an event management company.

Sheikh made his television debut with the show, Kya Mast Hai Life. He played the role of Vir Mehra, a teenager who loves music and playing guitar. After the second season of the show ended, Sheikh was seen in Jhansi Ki Rani. He played Nana Sahib, brother of Rani of Jhansi. In 2011, Sheikh was approached to play the lead in a television show, Navya…Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal opposite Saumya Seth. In his role as Anant Bajpai, a 19-year-old college student, he portrayed a complex character who, despite his modern appearance, held traditional values and often conformed to societal norms. Alongside Navya, Sheikh also worked in Disney Channel’s show Best Of Luck Nikki where he played the role of Ritesh.

In 2012, Sheikh also appeared in the telefilm Honeymoon shown in Star Plus show Teri Meri Love Stories opposite Mahhi Vij. He played Nityanand Chaturvedi who was a poor orphan and secretly loves his boss’ daughter Saloni.
In 2013, he signed Swastik Productions’ Mahabharat. He played the role of Arjuna, an incredible archer, a warrior prince and the third Pandava in the mythological show. For his performance, he got a lot of appreciation.

Mahabharat ended in August 2014. Mahabharat was also popular in Indonesia, establishing Sheikh as a big star of the country. After Mahabharat, he did various projects in Indonesia. In 2014, he hosted Indonesian reality
television Panah Asmara Arjuna and a variety show The New Eat Bulaga! Indonesia along with his
co-stars from Mahabharat.

In 2016, Sheikh made his come back to Indian television with Sony TV’s critically acclaimed television show, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi alongside Erica Fernandes and Supriya Pilgaonkar. He played the role of Devrath Dixit, a young and successful business tycoon. In January 2017, the show Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi leap of 7 years after which Sheikh’s character of Dev Dixit turned into a ruthless and careless Casanova. Sheikh’s performance and his chemistry with Erica Fernandes were appreciated.

In 2018, he portrayed Salim in Colors TV’s Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali. He was paired
opposite Sonarika Bhadoria.

Rumors says that he had a good relationship with his Indonesian girlfriend Ayu TingTing but later they split. Before that, he was in good terms with his Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi co-star Erica Fernandes but it seems, it didn’t work too. Also, the interesting fact about him we know is his father handles his Financial assets as Shaheer says he cannot save money.

Currently, he plays Abir Rajvansh in Star Plus’ Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, a spin-off of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai opposite Rhea Sharma.
