Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah is India’s most viewed comedy show and has been running successfully for a decade now. The show’s first episode was aired on 28th July 2008. The show also enjoys a massive viewership of family audiences worldwide.
Gurucharan Singh, who played the role of Roshan Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has quit the show and Balvinder Singh Suri is currently playing the character of Sodhi in the show.
The reason behind the same has not been stated but it is being said that he did not join back after shooting resumed post the COVID-19 lockdown on July 10. Not only this, the new episode of the show that aired on July 22 also did not feature Gurucharan.
This is not the first time Gurucharan has quit the show. He was successfully part of the show from 2008 to 2013. But he apparently quit the show in 2013 due to creative differences with the producer. A year later he was once again brought back and now has again bid goodbye.
Apart from Gurucharan, Neha Mehta also quit the show recently.
