The Wednesday episode of Rajan Shahi’s “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” began with Neil asking Abhimanyu what he is planning to do for Akshara on Valentine’s Day as it will be their first. Abhimanyu tells him that he doesn’t believe in it and he is sure that even Akshara feels the same. Neil tells him that it’s easier to ask forgiveness from Mahadev, but not surprising one’s girlfriend on Valentine’s Day is unforgivable. Manjari too agrees with Neil.
Later, Akshara along with Manish, Aarohi and Swarna go to the temple. She tells them that she has some work and will join them soon. She then sees a string phone at one of the shops and tells Aarohi that they would play with it as kids. Aarohi tells her that she doesn’t want to look back at her past and is focussing on her future. Akshara then goes to buy it but accidentally drops her mother’s diary. She then finds Abhimanyu at the temple and asks him what he is doing there. He asks her about her phone and she then gives him one side of the string phone and tells him that they can talk using it.
Abhimanyu asks her if Aarohi did anything after he left, to which Akshara tells him that she did not do anything. She then asks Abhimanyu about Valentine’s Day and he tells her that it’s a money making business and nothing else. Abhimanyu however tells her that they both should plan something for Kairav and Anisha to patch things between them. Akshara realises that she will have to make her first Valentine’s Day special on her own. Abhimanyu then gives her her mother’s diary and tells her that she had dropped it. Once he leaves, Akshara tells Aarohi to help her plan something for Kairav and Anisha.
The next day, on Valentine’s Day, Akshara sees a dream that Abhimanyu has printed “I love you Akshara” on the first page of a newspaper. He then comes to her with balloons all over on his bike and is wearing a t-shirt with “I love you Akshara” written on it. She hugs him for the wonderful surprise but falls off the bed as it was just a dream. She then checks her phone and is surprised to see that she hasn’t received any message from Abhimanyu yet. Aarohi tells her that doctors are very boring and they don’t believe in such things.
Akshara then remembers that it’s her parents’ anniversary and reads her mother’s diary. In the diary, she had written that she loves Akshara a lot and never wants to be separated from her. But if she had to, she will wrap Akshara in a soft pink blanket and will get her some shoes and once she grows up, she will make kachoris for her. Akshara starts crying while reading it. Just then Abhimanyu calls her and she tells him that she is missing her mother. Abhimanyu tries to calm her down.
In the upcoming episodes, we will see that Abhimanyu surprises Akshara on Valentine’s Day. She then sees a man dressed as Cupid and asks him to not hit her with his arrow. But when she does get a hit, she shouts “mumma”. She is surprised by all the things that her mother wrote in the diary, be it the soft pink blanket, kachoris or a unicorn.
