The episode of Anupamaa starts with Bapuji getting angry at Baa for taking medicines from Anupamaa. Anupamaa says she used to explain her acts to Baa but today will question her. She asks why did she not stop Dolly when she went on an abroad trip with male colleagues. Vanraj says because they were colleagues and not crush. She asks Vanraj how he is so sure about what’s there in their mind and heart. She says she didn’t know what was in his heart for the past nine years. Toshu says mummy will not go on a business trip. Samar and Kinjal say she will go and they will pack her bags. Toshu snatches the bag, Kinjal tells him to go back to his house. Toshu says he won’t let mummy spoil the family name. Kinjal says Vanraj and Kaya have spoiled family names, Samar says even he has, as he left when the family needed help. Toshu says that talks about feminism are good only in books and on social media. In real life, men’s mistakes are forgiven but not women’s. Kinjal says society won’t change unless they do.
Baa says Kavya and Vanraj were blamed too. She asks what if Anuj misbehaves with her. Anupamaa says if anyone touches her without her consent she will break his hand. She says God knows her heart is clean, so they should not ruin the house peace by thinking so low. Baa asks what about women’s modesty. Anupamaa says a women’s modesty is not based on her clothes but her character. And she is not doing anything that will ruin her character. Samar and Nandini are talking when Rohan throws a ball with chit. Nandini says Rohan is possessive and doesn’t like losing. Samar says he won’t let a cheap person like him win.
Bapuji tells Anupamaa to smile. He tells her that she gave a befitting reply to Vanraj and Baa. Anupama says but it hurt. Bapuji asks then should he call Anuj and cancel the trip. Anupamaa says no. He tells her that when women leave the house they always feel guilty. Kinjal, Samar and Pakhi come to cheer her up. Kavya tells Vanraj who had imagined that thepla making woman would go on a business meeting to Mumbai on a flight. She says Anupamaa is being rewarded for her good deeds. Anupamaa tells Bapuji and others how it was her dream to watch the ocean and fly in the sky, she never thought her dream will be fulfilled so soon. She excitedly says she will be sitting in an aeroplane. Kinjal says she never thought someone’s basic routine would be a dream of another person.
Bapuji says it’s not about an aeroplane ticket but about an opportunity. Samar says all thanks to Anuj. Vanraj hears it and wonders when he always loved Kavya why is he getting bothered about Anuj and Anupamaa’s friendship. Anupamaa thanks Anuj for the opportunity. He informs her that she should reach the airport by 6 in the morning. Anuj thinks he always used to wait to see the night end but today he is waiting for morning. Anupamaa prays for a peaceful trip. She dreams that she missed her flight and wakes up in shock, falling off from bed. She checks the time and sees it’s 4 am. Anupamaa thinks it’s time to fly now and not fall.
