The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik telling Dadi that God is testing his friendship and he will not give up. He says that if he gives the statement, it won’t prove that Sirat did not kill Ranvir, but it will prove that Kartik is a coward. Kartik says he will support Sirat and also make sure that his family is safe. Nani is unwell. She keeps taking Sirat’s name. Suwarna tells Manish that Nadi should sleep for a while, but she is not sleeping. Gayu says she gave her medicine yet she is not sleeping. Dadi says Nani’s mind is not stable and they should take her to the doctor. Suwarma says they cannot take her to the hospital as all media is outside the house and they won’t let go of them.
Kartik comes out from the back door and leaves in his car. Some media people notice that and follow him. Kartik stops his car and escapes from there sitting in an auto. He calls his driver to pick the car and go to their factory. Kartik goes to meet Sirat in the police station. A man says he knew Kartik will come to meet Sirat. Kartik notices the media and hides. Sirat looks at Kartik. Kartik signs Sirat and leaves.
Later, the doctor calls Kartik and informs them that Nani’s report is bad. Sirat tells the inspector she wants to call Nani. Sirat calls Kartik and says she wants to talk to Nani. Kartik says Nani is sleeping. Sirat tells Kartik that she is worried about Nani and thinks something wrong is going to happen. The inspector disconnects the call and puts Sirat back in the lockup.
Aradhana calls Kartik and says she is trying to find out Sirat’s story and for that she wants Kartik to come to her studio and answer some questions. Kartik denies the offer and disconnects the call. Kartik then learns that his family is facing problems as everyone is holding Kartik responsible for everything. Kartik worries.
