The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Ridhima asking Kairav to take the colours and draw something. Kairav looks at the book from which Ridhima told him the story and reminisces the story. Kairav then takes the colours, and the paintbrush and starts drawing. Naira and Kartik get happy seeing Kairav. Ridhima comes to Kartik and Naira.
Naira thanks Ridhima for her support. Kartik says that this is all possible because of Naira’s idea and soon Kairav will accept Naira.
Naira says that Kairav will express his feelings through his paintings. Ridhima says that she will go back to Kairav.
Ridhima goes to Kairav and sees a birthmark behind Kairav’s ear.
Ridhima realises Kairav has the same birthmark as she has. Ridhima remembers her child and hugs Kairav.
Later, Naira makes cupcakes for Kairav and Kartik and drops them through the rope basket on Kartik’s floor. Kairav asks why did Aai make cupcakes. Kartik says that Kairav started painting again with his canvas, so Aai made a cupcake for Kairav. Kairav tastes the cupcakes and says that the cupcakes are delicious and thanks Aai.
Then, when Kairav is about to go to school, Ridhima comes to Kartik and says that there is an art festival and she wants to take Kairav to that festival. Ridhima says that Kairav has to miss today’s school as the art festival is till afternoon.
Ridhima takes Kairav to the art festival. Naira calls Ridhima and thanks her for taking care of Kairav. Naira asks Ridhima to avoid giving outside food to Kairav, or he might fall sick.
Ridhima takes Kairav to a cafe and gives him the food which her son used to eat.
Ridhima and Kairav are not yet home, Naira worries. Naira calls Ridhima but there is no response.
Naira sees Kartik and says that she will come to meet him. Naira comes down from lift and Kartik pushes Naira back in the lift.
The watchman sees Naira and Kartik and complains to the society secretary.
The lift gets stuck, and Kartik and Naira get more time to spend together.
