Irrfan Khan might have been away from movies for a long time owing to his health issues and concerns, but the man is considered a ‘legend’ in the true sense of the term. His acting potential is recognized throughout the world and not just India and that’s the big reason Irrfan has also been a part of some pivotal roles in Hollywood.

But Irrfan’s discipline and dedication towards acting didn’t happen overnight. The acting journey started from his theatre background which has played a key role in shaping Irrfan as the actor he is today.

Irrfan’s theatre roots date back to 1984 when he had bagged a scholarship at NSD. Since childhood, he had been someone keenly interested in the art of acting and it is the journey from NSD, Delhi that got him into the world of acting. After completing his NSD scholarship, Irrfan started small with a few side roles on TV before eventually getting the big break in Salaam Bombay in 1988.

Since then, there has been no looking back for Irrfan and despite all odds, Irrfan is hunky-dory and all guns blazing with his comeback project in Angrezi Medium. Here’s wishing Irrfan all the best for his future endeavors and may he be at the pink of his health throughout.
