Shresth Kumar, who was last seen in Star Plus’ Ishaani, recently fulfilled his long-wished dream of playing an army officer and donning the coveted uniform on screen. Shresth got an offer to portray a dashing hero, an army officer, for Waves’ upcoming web series titled Pratibadh. Produced by Sarthak Chitram and written, produced and directed by Siddharth Nagar, the series will depict a mix of family drama, valour, action, and politics in its concept. The concept will also deliver an apt social message, very relevant to today’s time.
Shresth has portrayed varied shades of characters in shows like Suryaputra Karn, Udaan, Kaal Bhairav Rahasya 2, Paramavatar Shri Krishna, etc. He entered the show Jhanak and was later seen in Ishaani, its spinoff, and played a negative avatar.
When contacted, Shresth confirmed the news and told us, “It was my dream to play an army man. Finally, it happened through this series. You will see me in a challenging role, wherein I have performed a lot of action sequences.”
On the occasion of India’s 77th Republic Day, Shresth put pictures of himself in an army uniform on his social media profiles.
