Starring Jashwanth Bopanna and Akriti Negi as two people who decide to get married for practical reasons, not love. But as expected, things don’t stay that simple for long.

Jashwanth Bopanna plays a calm, controlled character who believes in sticking to the rules. He keeps his emotions in check and tries not to get attached. His performance is decent and suits the role, but in emotional scenes, it feels a bit flat. You don’t always feel the intensity that the situation needs.

Akriti Negi adds more emotion to the story. Her character slowly moves from being practical to emotionally involved, and she shows that change nicely. She looks natural on screen and adds some warmth, but even her role feels a little underdeveloped in parts.

The story is easy to follow but also very predictable. The idea of a contract marriage turning into real love is something we have seen many times. Here too, the same pattern plays out—awkward moments, small bonding scenes, misunderstandings, and emotional confusion. Nothing feels very new or surprising.

Because it is part of the MX Fatafat format, the episodes are short and fast. This keeps the show engaging, but it also becomes a problem. Big emotional moments come and go quickly, without enough time to build properly. Some scenes feel rushed, and you don’t fully connect with the characters the way you should.

The writing is simple but doesn’t go deep. Dialogues are okay, but many lines feel familiar. The emotional conflicts are present, but they are not fully explored. It feels like the show had a good idea but didn’t spend enough time developing it.

Visually, the show is neat and straightforward. Nothing is distracting, but nothing stands out either. The music is fine and fits the mood, though it feels typical at times.

What works is the basic idea of two people trying to stay detached but slowly getting emotionally involved. There are a few moments where you can feel that pull, but they are not strong enough to leave a lasting impact.

Overall, Contract Marriage is an average watch. It is easy to binge because of its short format, but it doesn’t offer anything new. The performances are decent, but the predictable story and rushed pace hold it back.
