This year, we have come across several web series that have blown our minds away. However, what really stood out for us was the acting done by the female protagonists in most of them and we are here to tell you more about the list of women that really made a place in our hearts with their splendid work.

Dia Mirza in ZEE5’s Kaafir:
Kaafir was one of the most brilliant web series made this year and was watched by millions across the country due to its plot, which was based on the problems beyond the line of control shared by our country and a neighbouring other. However, what stood out was how Dia Mirza communicated the story perfectly through her flawless acting, that got us completely involved in the show.

Maanvi Gagroo in TVF’s Tripling 2:
TVF has been known to make some spectacular web series for quite some time now and Tripling 2 was yet another great one we got to see this year. In the show, what really caught our attention was the amazing acting by Maanvi Gagroo, as she played sister to Chitvan and Chandan in the show that portrayed finding new relationships. Her blending with her co-actors added the cherry on top.

Mithila Palkar in Netflix’s Little Things:
Little Things has taken the nation by storm ever since it was first screened. We loved Mithila on YouTube right from the beginning, but her playing her role so naturally here while depicting the ups and downs in a relationship made us connect with her on a deeper level that very few protagonists can make us feel.

Mona Singh in ALTBalaji’s Kehne Ko Hai Humsafar 2:
Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai came out with its second season this year, and once again stole our hearts. And while all protagonists did well, one that really stuck out was Mona Singh. The actress really showed us a different side of her and now we are in love with her even more deeply.

Priya Bapat in Hotstar’s City Of Dreams:
Hotstar really did step into the limelight this year with a genius idea portrayed in their web series called City Of Dreams. This show also had one of the finest web series actresses we have known yet, Priya Bapat and she really put forward flawlessly the story of politics that takes place in the true city of dreams, Mumbai. She did her role so well that it was a surprise to us seeing her taking up a bold role for a change.

Ramya Krishnan in MX Player’s Queen:
MX Player really went all out and took a dig at history with their dark take on politics. This series was based on a novel called Queen, written by Anita Sivakumaran. What really made the series so special was the presence and splendid work of Ramya Krishnan and her adding her own bold style to the role that really had us audiences connected and engrossed in the story.

Sakshi Tanwar in ZEE5’s The Final Call:
This year, among all the great web series that ZEE5 came up with, was The Final Call, which really stole our attention entirely with its brilliant plot. The main protagonists in the show were Arjun Rampal and Sakshi Tanwar, and needless to say, Sakshi awed us like she does every single time, by playing her role to perfection. Fair to say that her acting was just as thrilling as the story line.

Shefali Shah in Netflix’s Delhi Crime:
Netflix really gave us some great Indian web series this year and one of those series was Delhi Crime. This show completely gave out the dark side of Delhi and the credit for most of it has to go to Shefali Shah’s splendid acting that did everything from enraging us at situations to tearing us apart and that, as an actress, is a true victory for her.

Tisca Chopra in Hotstar’s Hostages:
Hotstar came out with yet another phenomenal series called Hostages this year and the main protagonists of the show were Ronit Roy and Tisca Chopra. While Ronit was the lead, it is fair to say that Tisca played a big role in stealing the show. It really put forward fair and square the challenges that come across in hostage situations and the emotional aspect of it was flawlessly put forth by Tisca.

We hope to see more such phenomenal actresses emerging in the web series world in the years to come. Stay tuned with us for more updates on your favourite celebs.
