AIB’s political satire titled ‘Gormint’, earlier known as Ministry was to premiere in 2018 on Amazon Prime Video. The series had Irrfan Khan playing the role of a Bollywood celebrity who goes on to occupy the role of the Culture Minister, and struggles to remain a favourite with the audience later on.

After shooting for months, Irrfan Khan opted out of the web-series after being diagnosed with a rare tumour which needed medication in London.

Earlier Irrfan had taken to social media to announce his decision of moving out of the concept that he loved being a part of.

And now, news coming to us at IWMBuzz.com is that the series will be reshot very soon with a popular actor taking up the role earlier played by Irrfan Khan.

Yes, as per the news coming to us, Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi has been roped in to essay the role that was played by Irrfan.

As per a reliable source, “The re shoot of Gormint with Arshad Warsi will start very soon. The series should have been launched by now, with quite a lot of shoot already done. However, the unfortunate illness to Irrfan Khan put a halt on the whole process. Now, the decision to re shoot it has been taken.”
