Following his appearance at his wife Victoria’s last fashion show, the ex-Real Madrid player has been credited with making socks and sandals cool again.

Victoria posted a photo of her family on her Instagram account, and the picture was overwhelmed with compliments in seconds.

One user tweeted, “Only @davidbeckham can wear white socks with sandals and look good.”

“My dad questioned me the other day if it was okay to leave the house in socks and sandals,” another wrote. No, I said.

“Could you just inform him that, according to David Beckham, I was wrong and that he should simply get on with it?”

From snakeskin coats to sleeveless dress shirts, we take a look back at some of Becks’ most famous fashion moments.

Sarong

When Beckham wore his famed sarong during the 1998 World Cup in France, he solidified his status as a fashion icon.

“When I wore that sarong twenty years ago, folks were astonished,” David added. According to The Sun.

“It was a travesty.” ‘Can you tell me why you’re wearing that?’ ‘How did you come up with that?’ Today, no one bats an eyebrow if a man walks down the street wearing a sarong.”

Leather Catsuit

In 1999, at a Gucci fashion show, the ex-athlete wore one of his most famous ensembles.

“Victoria and I used to have a good chuckle over how we wore matching leather suits to this Gucci presentation. ‘What were we thinking?!’ We’re thinking now,” in an interview with People, he revealed.

Regardless of his personal feelings, fashionistas agree that the leather catsuits were a stunning statement that established the duo as a style force.

Snakeskin Jacket

Becks isn’t hesitant to experiment with new looks and is always changing his wardrobe with the most up-to-date garments.

He wore a snakeskin-effect leather jacket in 2000, which drew a lot of attention.

His football career was also off the scale, coming in the same year he was given the England captaincy.

Camel Coloured Jacket

David wore a huge camel-colored jacket with a pretty appealing collar to the debut of a Pepsi advertising in Spain in 2004, which was meant to keep the footballer warm throughout filming.

He’s clearly a fan of the color since he wore a similar shade to inaugurate an Adidas store in Milan in 2017.
