In August of last year, Bengali actor and Trinamool Congress MP Nusrat Jahan gave birth to a kid named Yishaan. And the actor thought it was “very courageous” of her to accept motherhood. She said that she is “proud” of the choice she made. Together with her boyfriend, Bengali actor Yash Dasgupta, Nusrat is raising her child.
On Nusrat’s radio program Ishq With Nusrat, the actor recently engaged in conversation with a social media user. The user enquired as to Nusrat’s most audacious choice for the year 2021.
She responded, “I live life boldly,” in response to the query. “each minute. each hour.” She continued by saying that she had to respond to inquiries like, “Is Nusrat a single mother?” and “Who is the father?” throughout her motherhood journey. But the actress made a point of remaining upbeat during her pregnancy.
People thought Nusrat’s decision to embrace motherhood was brave, but she insisted that it was a perfectly rational one to make. “In order to maintain my sanity, I have never discussed this. Many people have said a lot of things only because I didn’t speak up on this topic,” she continued. “I’ll be talking about this today. Yes, I’ve been quite brave and I’m extremely proud of my choice to become a mother. My child has a normal father and a normal mother like me; I’m not a single mother.”
The actor was earlier married to Nikhil Jain, in June 2019, she married Nikhil in Turkey, however, they split up two years later in November 2021. Later, Nusrat disclosed that her marriage to Nikhil was illegal in India.
