As Satyaprem Ki Katha completes two meaningful years since its release, director Sameer Vidwans took a moment to express his admiration for Kartik Aaryan — the actor who brought the soul of Sattu alive on screen. The film not only marked Vidwans’ Hindi directorial debut but also served as a turning point in Kartik’s career with one of his most emotionally resonant performances to date.

Sharing his thoughts, Sameer had said once, “I don’t think words can justify what an amazing job Kartik has done in the film. He is a director’s delight. His charm, energy and dedication are next level. His unique style of acting, innocence and vulnerability has added a lot to the character. Sattu ke liye jo innocence aur pure energy chahiye, woh Kartik me hai. He lived the character – har chhote-chhote moment se leke bade scenes tak. Mujhe nahin lagta aur koi bhi actor Sattu play kar sakta tha, jaise Kartik ne kiya hai. He deserves all the love, appreciation and applause he is getting.”

The film, praised for its progressive narrative, heartfelt storytelling, and the sensitive handling of themes like emotional healing and respect in relationships, struck a chord with viewers. Kartik Aaryan’s portrayal of Sattu earned both audience love and critical appreciation, while Kiara Advani’s role brought depth and empathy to the film’s central equation.

Satyaprem Ki Katha also marked the much-awaited reunion of Kartik and Kiara after their blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in 2022, and the chemistry between the two once again worked its magic on screen.

As the film completes two years, Vidwans’ heartfelt words to his lead actor stands as a reminder of the collaboration that shaped one of the most emotionally grounded films in recent memory, a story that continues to stay relevant, loved, and celebrated.
