What excites me most is the chance to start afresh, while still being connected to a world that is so close to my heart.
Parineetii has been a great journey for you, where your character Pari has been through varied situations. How is this new phase treating you?
Parineetii has been more than just a show for me, it has been a journey filled with every possible emotion. I have grown with Pari, cried with her, and stood strong with her through some intense storylines. And now, having stepped into a brand-new chapter post-leap, it honestly feels like I am returning home, but as someone new. The world is familiar, but the energy is different. I feel excited and grounded at the same time, and there is a genuine curiosity to see how Preet’s story will unfold and connect with audiences. For an actor, it is rare to get a second innings in the same show, and I am truly grateful for that.
Does Preet hold any similarities in attributes to Pari?
Yes, some emotional threads connect Preet to Pari. They are both rooted in values, they care deeply about relationships, and they both have a kind, giving nature. But Preet is not a copy of Pari. She has grown up in different circumstances, so her reactions and her maturity are shaped by that. While Pari had a quiet softness about her, Preet is a little more expressive and a little more aware of how the world works. So, while you may see glimpses of Pari in her, you will also meet a girl who knows her own mind.
Pari and Parvati both had such emotional depth and portraying them taught me how to convey layered emotions without always using words.
How differently are you playing Preet?
Visually, you would have noticed the difference. Preet carries a younger, more contemporary vibe. But emotionally too, I have worked on making her distinct. Where Pari would respond with patience or quiet strength, Preet might act quicker or speak up sooner. She has the same heart, but she processes the world differently. I have consciously tried to change the body language and energy, she is a little more spirited, and that is exciting to explore as a performer. For me, the challenge is to make her feel fresh while still rooted in the emotional world of Parineetii.
Do you miss shooting with Ankur and Tanvi?
Ankur and Tanvi are still very much a part of the journey, and that is what makes this transition even more special. We have shared so much screen time and built a great comfort level over the years. There is a sense of familiarity with them that makes shooting feel effortless. I am genuinely glad we are continuing this story in new ways together, even if the dynamics have changed. It feels like we have grown up together on this show, on and off screen, and I look forward to making many more memories with them in this new phase of Parineetii.
What do you look forward to in this new phase of Parineetii?
I think what excites me most is the chance to start afresh, while still being connected to a world that is so close to my heart. The dynamics are new, the relationships are fresh, and the emotional beats are very different from what I have done before. There is a new energy on set with Pratiksha and Paras coming in, and a chance to experiment and grow. And as always, I am eager to hear what the audience feels, because their love is what has kept us going.
What have your takeaways been from Pari and Parvati?
These characters have taught me so much about empathy, patience, and standing up for what is right even when it is hard. Pari and Parvati both had such emotional depth, and portraying them taught me how to convey layered emotions without always using words. I think they have made me a better listener, both on-screen and off. Personally, too, I have become more sensitive to what women go through in their everyday lives, the sacrifices, the inner strength, the silent resilience.”
Can you recall one of your amazing moments while playing Pari or Parvati?
There have been so many memorable moments, but the ones I truly cherish are the emotional scenes with Rajeev and the Bajwa family. There was always an underlying intensity in those interactions, whether it was love, conflict, or silent support. Those scenes brought out the best in all of us as actors because they were layered, emotional, and very real. Working with a team that understands each other so well made those moments even more special. The kind of emotional depth we explored together really stayed with me.
What do you miss the most now?
I miss the comfort of the original family, the bond we had, and the ease of knowing how someone would react in a scene without even rehearsing it. It was like being part of an actual household, with unspoken chemistry and a shared rhythm. There is something very special about that kind of connection on set, it makes emotional scenes easier, and even the silent glances more meaningful. That setup gave me a sense of belonging, and it will always be a beautiful chapter in my journey.
What are your expectations now?
The show has already received so much love, and now I just hope the audience welcomes this new chapter with open hearts. Of course, there will be comparisons, and some viewers might take time to adjust, but I truly believe Preet’s story will strike a chord too. We are all working really hard to make this track engaging and emotionally rich. As for me, I just want to grow as an actor and keep learning. Every scene is a new opportunity, and I am excited to give it my all.
